Marketing and Sales Associate

Job Summary 

We are looking for a commercially driven Marketing and Sales Associate with  creative flair who is passionate about fashion, culture, art and storytelling across  all customer touchpoints. The role will specialize in marketing, content creation  and sales.  

The candidate will require deep knowledge of the Nigerian fashion market and  our customer’s lifestyle, key marketing platforms and the ability to identify and  track relevant marketing metrics – with a core understanding of online customer  engagement. 

Our ideal candidate is a ‘people person’ with great customer service skills and  storytelling creativity. Ultimately, you should be able to translate our brand DNA  locally and across all projects and platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work with the Creative Director and Head of Communications to reflect  the core brand DNA across all customer touch points and market  localizations – overseeing content strategy for all uses incl. social media,  editorial, website, e-commerce, newsletters, display, affiliate, special  projects. 
  • Manage and create editorial and social fashion content and assets to  support brand marketing, social media, CRM, e-commerce and PR teams.  Ensuring assets are shared cross departmentally to ensure that all content  is utilized efficiently and cohesively. 
  • Propose and help create fresh opportunities, unique content, brand  partnerships and messaging that achieves cut-through in a crowded  market to set the brand apart. 
  • Develop and execute monthly content calendars, including the social  media calendars.
  • Plan and maintain newsletters and website content rotation, liaising with  development and Sales departments to stay updated on new products  and features. 
  • Discovering and staying up-to-date with digital technology and trends.Supervise the Sales Team to ensure exceptional customer service  experience. 
  • Build and strengthen relationships with customers and implement a  direct marketing strategy for VIP customers 
  • Manage the visual display of the products in accordance with The  Ladymaker visual standards. 
  • Discuss with clients and give advice on general trends in fashion and  developments in the market, showing passion for fashion and luxury  products. 
  • Use a strong knowledge of The Ladymaker products and services to  ensure delivery of exceptional customer services and sales. 
  • Supervise the delivery of The Ladymaker Atelier services from first contact  to fulfilment, ensuring the highest possible standards are adhered to.Propose, plan and host all internal and external events involving The  Ladymaker. 
  • Represent The Ladymaker at conferences, seminars and industry events.Manage and be the contact person for all operations related matters at  The Ladymaker.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE 

  • A storyteller who excels at creating and telling stories that communicate  who we are as a brand. 
  • Excellent customer service skills and a deep passion for fashion and  lifestyle. A customer-first focused person - ensuring the client receives a  great on-brand experience before, during and after-sales 
  • Be passionate about digital technologies 
  • Have proven experience in retail, marketing or social media, with at least  3 years of relevant experience in sector 
  • Highly organized and driven with meticulous attention to detailExcellent communication skills – written and oral – and highly computer  literate 
  • Knowledge of marketing channels

  • Ability to work independently and across a team 
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications or a relevant field is a plus

DESIGN ASSOCIATE

Job Summary

We are  looking for an experienced pattern maker with proven ability in pattern drafting,  design, research and development and sample making.  

The Design Associate will support the design team in the inspiration and design  direction, development and execution of collections and garments across all  categories. This candidate will be responsible for designing seasonal product that is  in line with all creative business targets. The Design Associate is responsible for  organising tasks, efficiency and development to execute the brand vision and secure  qualitative and on-time collections. 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Conduct creative research and concepts of creative ideas in accordance with  seasonal line plans and in line with the strategic directions and DNA of the  brand; concept presentation should include research, sketches, drapes, fabric  manipulation, textile developments and finishing treatments. All designs  presented should consider finishes, trims and branding as needed. 
  • Research, Interpret and communicate the latest trends, innovations, colours,  shapes, trims and fabrics. 
  • Present focused design concepts including research imagery, sketches, sew  tests, treatments, vintage references when applicable. Upon feedback make  necessary adjustments and represent and/or develop ideas further. • Prioritize developments in accordance with deadlines. 
  • Prioritize design workflow to ensure all design details are communicated  accurately. Ensure all fabric, trim and construction information is present. Work  with pattern makers from initial drape through fittings, to execution of  showroom samples.
  • Visit fairs, vendors/suppliers and collaborate with the creative team in research,  new materials technologies and product innovation. 
  • Monitor internally and externally the technical product development process  to ensure style, technical fit, quality, and on time sample delivery. • Source and develop new fabric and trimmings. 
  • Undertake all pattern corrections needed in the atelier, problem solving any  technical difficulties when necessary. 
  • Negotiate prices and perform calculation tools in relation to materials and  designs. 
  • Manage precisely and timely all style related data. 
  • Create thorough and accurate Tech Packs for production. 
  • Participate in styling and fitting of collection for show and/or look book. • Participate in all fittings. Ensure design integrity and all fit comments are  considered and communicated efficiently. Liaise with production to maintain  aesthetic and production viability through to the customer. 
  • Analyze, leverage and integrate sales and bookings data to inform ongoing  and future designs. 
  • Design new categories based on strategic expansion plans of the brand. • Maintain a system for patterns both physically and digitally. Participate actively  in ensuring the design studio runs efficiently & is well organised to meet  deadlines 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent 
  • Relevant educational qualification in fashion  
  • 3+ years experience in a designer capacity 
  • Excellent flat sketching skills 
  • Excellent knowledge of patternmaking or draping

  • Strong color and print sense

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Job Summary

We are  looking for an experienced Operations Manager to work closely with the CEO to  develop and implement the strategic vision of the Company and ensure full  optimisation of its processes and activities. 

The Operations Manager will act as a centre of expertise and intelligence to translate  Corporate Strategies into functional initiatives for the departments and support their  execution through analysis and insight. 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Develop business strategies along with the CEO to unlock key revenue and  profit opportunities. 
  • Working with external financial advisers, develop the annual Budget Implement the 3-year strategic plan through measurable and time bound  actions. 
  • Drive digital initiatives, working closely with relevant teams. 
  • Work with the CEO to develop new categories for company expansion.Track and communicate external environment developments, region outlook,  key market and competitor information.  
  • Develop luxury sector expertise. 
  • Manage Vendors and Wholesale accounts and develop strategies for leading  business negotiations with key partners. 
  • Ensure accurate records are kept by all Departments. 
  • Identify ways to streamline operations and propose sustainable changes,  highlighting new SOPs and standard processes. 
  • Find opportunities for improving current processes and standardizing  procedures to improve resources and increase efficiencies. 
  • Work with teams on delivery and reinforcement of process improvements.Participate actively in ensuring all operations run efficiently & are well  organised to meet deadlines and achieve objectives 
  • Ensure accurate compliance measures are in place on all processes.
  • Ensure timeline adherence and ensure that work is completed in budgeted  time and in accordance with collection schedules. 
  • Set and manage multi-seasonal design development calendar based on  product release plans, seasonal runway shows or presentations. 
  • Partner with relevant teams on setting calendars to align cross-product  departments. Follow up and follow through for deliverables in all categories. Create and manage contingency plans based on a set calendar. Oversee design studio to ensure processes are being followed in a productive  and efficient way.  
  • Manage Collection Budgets across brand lines.
