OUR STORY
‘Of the Lady, For the Lady, By the Lady…’

Our Story
Established in 2015, The Ladymaker is a womenswear brand that marries inspiration from the heritage of the African continent with a focus on classical form, elegance and the unexpected. The Ladymaker is recognised for a new approach to harnessing the resources and inspirations of Africa, utilising centuries-old crafts to create timeless designs for the modern woman.
Craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do at The Ladymaker, and each design is meticulously handmade in Lagos by a team of pan-African artisans, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and excellence.
Our Manifesto
The following fundamentals, which began as instinct and is organically woven into our designs and purpose has been codified, and as we evolve and explore new expressions of living for ladies, we remain rooted in our Manifesto:
● Heritage redefined
● Studies of form and shape
● An exploration of feminine splendour
● Joys of colour and print
● Waste to wonder
